Think Global-Act Local: Transatlantic Perspectives for Climate Protection at the City Level
There is no longer serious doubt that global climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our generation and that a great majority of greenhouse gas emissions in developed countries emanate from urban centers. Hence city governments are uniquely positioned to develop and implement innovative climate change mitigation and adaptation policies. While the potential for improvement is ample, particular leadership has already been shown by certain cities in Europe and the U.S.
Join us to hear about the latest success stories from European cities such as Hamburg (Germany), Malmö (Sweden) and Warsaw (Poland) and discuss perspectives for transatlantic cooperation on local best policies.
Space is limited.
